Empowerment is an essential ingredient to success. It raises our vibration, keeps us in a positive, creative space, and this in turn helps us be successful.
All of us are in business because we want to succeed, and in order to do that we need to be in the right frame of mind. A technique that I use with clients is to customize mantras.
Business owners are showing to the world what they are most passionate about, and this is truly gutsy. You are standing behind your personal passion and vision. Not everyone is willing to do that. At times it feels like psychological cliff jumping.
We need to be reminded that we are gutsy women, to own the power and the courage it takes to put ourselves out there everyday. Given that we are our own bosses, it's down to us to remind ourselves. Tweet this tidbit!
Here are some examples of the things you need to remind yourself of on a regular basis. Repeat mantras in your head, or out loud, over and over until you feel your mood shift. You'll start to feel lighter, more energized and motivated
Examples: I am courageous and brave. I am good at dealing with obstacles. I love what I do, and am excited to move onto the next stage/ challenge. I am powerful and heart-centered. Embracing my passion is the path to my success. Tweet this tidbit!
It is really important to make your mantras your own. Own your strengths – write a list – and turn them into mantras that you remind yourself of on a regular basis.
What if you aren't feeling like the amazing rockstar that you are? What if it is hard to even get to the place of feeling like you are good at anything?
We have all been in that place, where getting into a positive frame of mind is like pushing a boulder up a mountain, and the boulder keeps rolling back on you.
In this situation, you need to find out what your inner critic is bitching about. For example, if your critic is saying you are not worthy of success, feel that this is not true, and consciously flip it.
How do you consciously flip it? Identify all the ways that you are worthy. You might say: I am worth success. I am very talented at what I do. My passion is my superpower. I am particularly good at (fill in the blank). Get specific with what you are good at – bookkeeping, talking to people, multitasking, composing emails, color theory, marketing. When you get specific the critic doesn't have as much it can protest about. Tweet this tidbit!
By turning the negative around, you raise your vibration, you turn your attention to why you do what you do and remind yourself that you do this because you are good at it.
In creating mantras you have the tools to bring yourself back to your purpose and your mission. When you find a mantra that makes you feel really good, say it to yourself all the time!
