She wants to be seen. Doesn’t matter what you “sell” her — a healthier business, a stronger body, a clearer mind, a smarter way to contain the clutter and chaos on her desk or in her life — she wants to be seen.
You listen, deeply.
You hold space, graciously.
You understand her struggles, wisely.
But don’t mistake your ability to see your client with the deliverable for which she pays you (tweet).
I say this with all kindness, knowing that doing so fails to equip her, blurs boundaries and creates a culture of dependence — her on you, and maybe even you on her.
You both deserve better.
